Sharon is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ and the founder and owner of Alberta Divorce Finances in Calgary. She is a trained divorce mediator and the proprietor of a personal income tax return preparation business, Calgary's Choice Tax Services preparing over 400 returns annually.
Sharon has a deep and personal understanding of the financial implications of divorce. Her education, experience and compassion assists clients in understanding all areas of the impending changes that divorce will have on their financial future. Sharon has worked with clients and lawyers for more than 15 years consulting on divorce finances.
Sharon is passionate about maximizing her clients’ tax savings and takes pride in educating her clients. Sharon’s team offers support and guidance to sole proprietors, clients with rental properties, divorcing clients, CRA requests, Notices of Objection, bookkeeping services, GST returns and more.
Sharon has twice been featured in the Calgary Herald and in Readers Digest and Money Sense Magazine and as a guest on the CORUS Radio network, ‘More Than Money Radio Show’. She has toured Canada with Wolters Kluwer CCH delivering specialized tax seminars to accountants and financial professionals. Sharon has also spoken at the Canadian Bar Association, Calgary Chapter, Family Law Section on ‘Understanding Income Tax – Getting It Right For Divorcing Clients!’ Sharon has also appeared in the Court of King’s Bench as an expert on income tax deductions, credits and benefits.
When Sharon isn't working with clients, she is spending time cooking, travelling, playing soccer and enjoying time with family and is looking forward to becoming a grandmother in a few short weeks.
